The Power Of Waking Up At 5 AM

Successful

The most difficult thing we have faced in our life is waking up early in the morning.

In today's blog, we are going to explore the Importance of waking up early in the morning and how to achieve this divine practice in the practical ways suggested by the book "The 5 AM CLUB" which was written by Robin Sharma.

Here, you'll get to know about the benefits of waking up at 5 am and the tips for waking up early

I had been following this divine practice for the past one year. This habit helped me to stay productive and to use my morning to gain a deep insight into my career.

Let's dive right in:

When we make some changes in our life, it will be difficult at first, but after following the changes we made, it will become easy to manage.

We wonder how our mom rises early and does all the things starting from breakfast, cleaning our house, packing our lunch, etc...

This practice was inculcated into our mom by doing it regularly.

In this book, we will see how habits are formed.

How much time does it take? how to manage the habit at first? etc...

BENEFITS OF RISING AT 5 AM:

Our energy level will be at the peak during this time and drastically decreases throughout the day.

Hence we could do our important work like studying, learning a new language, doing work related to our career, reading books, etc...

Use your early morning time wisely to achieve your dream and enjoy the victory.

From the religious perspective, the Early morning is considered the sacred time in most religions in the world.

If you deeply analyze the successful people in the world, their place will be organized and they have a well-planned to-do list.

And they will be deciding what type of dress to wear, etc...previously.

They pre-plan their daily routines.

Hence they could do productive work in the morning instead of thinking about what to wear, what to cook etc...

If you have decided to wake up early in the morning and don't know what to do after waking up?

Here is the rule for you.

20/20/20 rule:

Many packages were created by the author to spend our time in these every 20 minutes.

These include doing meditation, exercise, and doing important work related to your career to excel in your field.

Like this, Many packages were given in this book and if you wish to know these kinds of important information then just buy this book.

If you apply it to your life your productivity and performance increase exponentially.

Rest is Best:

The author also suggests taking a rest. But not wasting your time doing unwanted things.

Hence he had said many useful things to us during our resting stage.

Successful people are not always working continuously, they will take rest to recover and gain energy to move on to their goals.

"Your growth happens when you are resting"

                                            -Robin Sharma

TRIGGER:

The author suggests not to use smart alarms or phones as alarms, instead, use analog alarm clocks.

But also you could think of many of your own ideas to wake up in the morning without using your mobile phone.

MORNING RITUAL:

In the early morning, approximately between 5 - 6 am.

The front part of our brain which is called the prefrontal cortex will be working like a snail.

This prefrontal cortex is responsible for the unwanted thoughts in our brain.

Especially when we try to wake up in the morning this prefrontal cortex will be commanding our body to take a rest but the working progress of this prefrontal cortex is slow between 5-6 am.

So we could overpower the prefrontal cortex from commanding us and could get out of our bed soon.

When the prefrontal cortex quiets, it will allow us to access genius-level insights, advanced creativity, and world-class performance.

REWARD:

The reward is one of the powerful tools to feel energetic while waking up early in the morning.

We could trick our brain by saying that we will take a nap in the afternoon, reward our favorite snack because of waking early in the morning, etc...

These rewards depend upon each person and vary for all of us.

Rising early for just one day could be done by any of us but continuing this practice daily in our life is the difficult one.

If you consider yourself as an unskilled person or not having inborn talents, practicing a particular thing daily will make you an expert in it.

And this is also applicable for waking up early.

How to install the habit of rising early in the morning?

Stage 1:Destruction

This phase is about 22 days.

In this phase, our brain will not allow us to wake up in the morning and this is the toughest phase in this whole process.

At once, we will be thinking about quitting this habit but never give up and wake up consistently every day.

And the author says that whenever your mind is distracted not to do a particular activity then you should push yourselves to do it.

Let us consider there are about 5% of rich people and the remaining 95%of normal people are there in the world.

This 5 % of people became rich as they had come out of their comfort zone and faced uncomfortable situations, this the reason for the unsuccessful life of the remaining people.

Just get the hell out of your comfort zone.

Try to do whatever you think is difficult for you like Sleeping on the floor, avoiding junk foods, etc... to test your willpower.

Stage 2:Installation

The time period of this installation phase is 22 days.

In this phase, lots of confusion will be arising in our brain because of adopting a new habit.

So getting anxious is normal during this phase.

And you have to wake up constantly during this phase without telling a silly reason to your brain.

After completing these two stages you are now eligible to enter into the next stage.

Stage 3:Integration

This last phase consists of 22 days.

This is the phase where the habit of rising early gets adapted by our body as a part of our lifestyle.

And whatever habit you had practiced during these two phases will become easier to accomplish.

You start to enjoy your habit and do it sincerely.

After completing these three phases successfully, The habit will become inculcated into our life. Hence rising at 5 am will become easy for us.

"All change is hard at first, messy in the middle and gorgeous at the end "

Wake up
