Today we are going to explore the Marketing giant APPLE.

Basically, you'll get to know about the success factors which made apple so successful at marketing and also about the uniqueness of apple.

I had gained different views regarding the marketing strategies and got many ideas from the apple to apply on my work.

Apple is selling just 20% of smartphones in the world but how this brand is liked by most of the people in the world. 

Whereas their competitors like Samsung have many businesses other than smartphones.

But the only business of Apple is Technology.

The success and strategy of Apple will be covered in this blog. 

The success of Apple is not attained today or yesterday, it has been a very long time since 2007.

Apple has stuffed the word "Premium" in people's minds. 

It is true that whenever we think about the apple the first thing that strikes our mind is "PREMIUM".

SELF DESTRUCTION OF PRODUCTS:

This strategy is one of the most powerful tools to stay in the leading position in the smartphone industry.

They just kill their own product.

The first product that Apple launched was Computers.

After a period of time, they introduced laptops. 

If we analyse the moves of Apple we could find that the Laptop is a competitor to computers but Apple launched the laptops to kill their own product.

The philosophy of Apple is, if we don't destroy our own products then the other competitors will destroy them. 

So they killed their own product instead they released the advanced technology. 

This will not enable their competitors to kill their products. 

Apple will be always thinking about the future moves of their competitors.

Hence this is one of the well-executed strategies of Apple.

KING OF TECHNOLOGY:

Once upon a time Ipods were a hit among the people but Apple introduced the iPhone.This is contrary, right? 

If our product is successful among the people, we'll start to produce more.

But in the case of Apple, they destroy their product and introduce an advanced one.

After the big victory of Apple's iPhone, they launched Apple smartwatches.

All features in the phone will be given in a small watch.

Generally, if we see the apple store in our iPhone, many attractive and unique things will be displayed. 

Even the iPhone cases and the phone box should be designed by the manufacturer adhering to apple's standards.

By this way, Apple took over the whole control of their manufacturing process.

When there is a group of people if one person has an iPhone and uses it. 

It will not create a premium and wholesome experience for him/her and for the other people in the group. 

This makes the other people buy their premium and gold standard products.

UNIQUENESS OF APPLE:

At first, people were using Samsung, and after the entry of Xiaomi we people moved to Mi culture and we moved on to the next phone one plus. 

The similarity between these phones, despite features, camera quality, etc..is "ANDROID".

This operating system is created and managed by Google.

This operating system could be used by people all around the world by paying google. 

But Apple has created a special IOS for their iPhone.

Hence this made no competition for Apple in the smartphone industry. 

Generally, if we have One plus and Samsung phones we could make a comparison between the two phones. 

Whereas you couldn't compare iPhone and Samsung, because it could not be a proper comparison right?

Basically, Apple has isolated itself from the competition. And Apple generally controls freaks. 

The reason is, if I have written a blog I will ask for your feedback about it. 

In the case of Apple, they usually don't take feedback from their customers.

This philosophy is given by ford and similarly, apple is following this kind of philosophy.

"If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses"

From this quote, Ford is trying to say that instead of faster horses, he had introduced cars to them, without asking people's opinion.

Because of the immense growth of apples, most people will be criticizing them when they appear in public. 

And this is common among our people right?. 

Apple has been on Twitter for several years but they have not even posted a single tweet on Twitter.

This is also followed by Facebook.

Apple also has a youtube account but they have turned off their comment section.

Several years back, music listening devices were sold saying that they have 2GB storage, 6GB,10GBstorage, etc... 

When Apple released their iPod, they said that if we buy their product 1000 songs will be in our pocket. 

Think that, if we say that you will have 2GB in your pocket to the normal human, they will take it as simple. 

But when Apple said that 1000 songs were in our pocket, our brains thought it was a large number.

And this strategy has taken the music industry to the next level.

Hence we could simply say that the "King of Marketing strategy" in the field of technology is APPLE.

HATER OF COMPETITION:

Samsung will always be competing with apple.

But Apple does not consider Samsung as their competition because if they consider others as competition they have to compete with them. 

If you have noticed the phone launch of Samsung, they will say how their phone is better than iPhone or the other leading smartphones. 

But in the iPhone launch, Apple only says how this New model iPhone is better than their previous model. 

By this apple will not be entering into the competition.

They only consider their own products as their competition. 

Hence the general mentality of a person who is already having an iPhone will be only thinking about buying their next model of iPhone 

Whereas normal android users will be thinking of buying another wide range of smartphones in the market.

The craziest thing is that Apple's smartphone share is just 20% in the world. But their return profit is 66%. 

If we see the number of phones released by Apple in a year is just 3-4 models.

Whereas Samsung launches many phones at different price rates.

The attention gained by Apple during their iPhone launches is not beaten by any of the other smartphone brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, etc...

This creates a big value for the silence of apples and when they speak everyone will be keenly listening to them.

Now Apple has planned to increase subscription-based models which earn profit by asking for payment to use their apps and this also decreases the upgrading of the phones.

Apple is also researching virtual glass and in the future, they will be killing their own wristwatch, iPhone, laptop, computer,  and introduce advanced technologies.
